Highlights from the Customer Service and Management in Hospitality & Tourism Training: Event Space

Recognizing this need, an intensive training program titled Customer Service and Management in Hospitality & Tourism was successfully held from 13 to 15 September 2025 at Amdee Event Space, Sunway Perdana, Penang. Among the main topics discussed were techniques for handling customer service and complaints using the LEARN Model, an approach that emphasizes empathy, quick resolution, and sincerity in addressing customer issues. The training also highlighted the importance of effective communication, not only verbally, but also through body language and active listening skills, which form the foundation of positive interactions in the hospitality industry.
In the area of leadership, participants were guided to understand their roles as leaders within their organizations, including how to manage teams, foster collaboration, and motivate staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service. In addition, they were introduced to innovations in customer service, including the use of technologies such as CRM systems and customer feedback tools, which can improve efficiency and simplify the process of evaluating service quality.
What made this training even more engaging was the combination of theory and hands-on practice. Participants had the opportunity to experience real-world simulations through role-playing exercises and practical activities, allowing them to immediately apply what they learned in an interactive and enjoyable setting. This approach not only deepened their understanding but also boosted their confidence in handling real-life situations at the workplace.
